CORE DATES
Sijal offers courses over three terms: Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Summer Term is split into two sessions. Our intensive Summer sessions cover the same content as our Spring and Fall terms. Below are the term dates for the 2025/2026 Academic year:
Spring 2025: January 12th - April 30th (Orientation: January 12) (Spring break from March 30- April 3)
Summer intensive I 2025: June 15th - July 17th (Orientation: June 14th)
Summer intensive 2 2025: July 20th - August 21st (Orientation: July 19th)
Fall 2025: September 7th - December 18th (Orientation: September 7th)
Spring 2026: January 11st - April 30th (Orientation: January 11)
Summer intensive courses are available at the same dates both in-person and online; Spring and Fall terms are only available in-person.

Note that we have rolling admissions and the final deadline to apply is one week before the start of the term or summer session. To secure an acceptance and have ample preparation time before your travels, however, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

SEMINAR DATES
Past, Present, and Future: The Archaeology of Jordan and the Middle East will run from June 6th - July 9th.
WORK-STUDY APPLICATION DATES
We are now accepting applications for the 2025 Spring, Summer, and Fall terms. The deadline for a work-study position for either Summer sessions is April 17th and applicants will hear back by April 24th. The deadline to apply for a work-study position for the Fall term is July 17th, 2025, and applicants will hear back regarding their application by July 24th. The deadline for a work-study position for spring 2026 is November 13th and applicants will hear back by November 20th.
