Lina Shannak is a Jordanian journalist, translator, and author whose writing centers around documenting people's experiences. She also works in support of human rights and social justice in Jordan.

In her lecture, Ms. Shannak spoke to us about her experience as an author and about the challenges faced by some local families living in Jabal Al-Joufah. We had a lively discussion of Ms. Shannak’s book Qa’ Al Madina.
