CORE DATES
Sijal offers courses over three terms: Spring, Summer, and Fall. The Summer Term is split into two sessions. Our intensive Summer sessions cover the same content as our Spring and Fall terms. Below are the term dates for the 2024-2025 Academic year:
Spring Term In-person 2024: January 14 - May 2nd (Orientation: January 14, Spring Break March 24-28)
Summer intensive in-person term 2024: June 2 - July 11 (Orientation: June 1) Eid Al-Adha holiday June 16-20.
Summer intensive 2 in-person term: July 14- August 15(Orientation: July 13)
Fall in-person term 2024: September 8th - December 19th (Orientation: September 8)
Spring Term In-person 2025: January 12th - May 1st (Orientation: January 12)

Note that we have rolling admissions and the final deadline to apply is one week before the start of the term or summer session. To secure an acceptance and have ample preparation time before your travels, however, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

Fall Session 2024: September 22 - November 14th

SEMINAR DATES
Past, Present, and Future: The Archaeology of Jordan and the Middle East will run from June 6th - July 9th.
WORK-STUDY APPLICATION DATES
We are now accepting applications for the 2024 Spring, Summer, and Fall terms. The deadline for a work-study position for either Summer sessions is April 18 and applicants will hear back by April 25. The deadline to apply for a work-study position for the Fall term is July 18, 2024, and applicants will hear back regarding their application by July 25. The deadline for a work-study position for spring 2025 is November 14 and applicants will hear back by November 21st.
