Dina Baslan, an activist, social worker, and co-founder of Sawiyan, spoke with Sijal about the recent history of Sudanese refugees in Jordan and the current legal, social, and economic issues they face in Amman. Sawiyan exists to support and advocate for marginalized refugee communities in Amman, of which the Sudanese community is a significant percent.
